2. Excessive clearance

The axial distance between the gear and the ring gear should be kept 2.5-5mm. In this way, when the main circuit is connected, the starter gear and the flywheel ring gear rotate at a high speed before they mesh. When the two contact, they will naturally make a noise due to impact, and the two cannot mesh, and the engine cannot be started. In case of this failure, you can increase the gap between the static and moving contacts of the starter electromagnetic switch; add pads between the electromagnetic switch and the rear shell of the starter; eliminate the excess gap of the support pin in the middle of the starter fork; replace the fork Slider or pulley with reduced wear; when installing the ring gear on the flywheel, do not press the ring gear to the bottom of the flywheel, leave a gap of 2-3mm or choose to thicken the ring gear to eliminate it. In addition, the overall length of the starter drive gears sold on the market does not meet the standard, and the height of the flywheel and ring gear produced by some irregular factories does not meet the standard, which is easy to cause this phenomenon.
